EDEN PRAIRIE – Minnesota Vikings backup quarterback Shaun Hill urged fans to remain optimistic in the wake of starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater’s season-ending knee injury yesterday.
“C’mon, cheer up you guys,” said the 36-year old Hill, who will serve as starting quarterback in the upcoming season if no other replacement is found. “Things aren’t so bad. Just look at these dogs for a minute. Aren’t they cute?”
While sports analysts question the future of the Viking’s promising 2016 roster, Hill is confident the team will be fine: “I know how to play football pretty well. And would you just look at these dogs? So full of unconditional love. You can’t be sad when you’re petting a dog. It’s just not possible.” Ị
