MINNESOTA – The career arcs of athletes Kevin Garnett and Torii Hunter have brought them back to the Minnesota teams they played for when they were young and inexperienced. “Now that I’m past my prime, coming back to the Twins just seems like the right thing to do,” said Hunter of his decision to rejoin the team he originally left in 2007 when he got too good for them. Similarly, Garnett left the Timberwolves in 2007 to win championships with the Boston Celtics. Both players said they feel they have “gas left in the tank,” but odds are they will almost certainly retire after mediocre years on their respective teams. Ị
