U OF M CAMPUS, MINNEAPOLIS – Researchers of social behavior at the University of Minnesota have released findings which suggest that the rate of people dumping buckets of ice water on themselves is up 98% in just the last month. “We don’t really have any way of explaining it,” said lead researcher Dr. Carol Braunt. “It’s a social phenomenon.” Even more strangely, many of the incidents reported involve people actually filming themselves dumping the ice water over their heads and posting the videos on the internet. While the rate of this behavior has skyrocketed, Braunt confirmed that rates of other people actually giving a damn about it have plummeted.
